We promote sustainable economy, an economy which respects the environment. We encourage the diversification of production and the dynamisation of the local economy. Small families and cooperatives are given access to credits, and the aggregate value of the products is promoted. The family economy of peasants is supported by a comprehensive plan that includes both the land and the home. Families thus take one step forward in sustainable production; they no longer have a subsistence economy, because they can generate surplus products and process them for marketing. This creates food sovereignty dynamics in the region.

 

We support the provision of basic needs -housing, and sewer and water systems- to improve the habitability conditions of rural, semi-rural and urban areas.

 

We promote Gender in Development, emphasizing the rights of the women workers of the maquila. We support women's organisations, allowing them to carry out economic activities (by means of credits).

 

We promote and strengthen spaces and mechanisms for citizens' participation, from the community to the Municipalities. We encourage people to take part in the local decision-making, and have involved citizens in the drawing of development plans with the Municipalities. In addition, we have strengthened the economic capacities of the Municipalities.
