Food and pharmaceutical transnational enterprises exhaust the natural resources and take advantage of the enormous biodiversity of the country. Consequences: Loss of food sovereignty, destruction of the ecosystem and the cultural identity of minority populations such as the indigenous communities and Afrocolombians.
Fall in the prices of coffee across the world. Consequences: Increase of unemployment (higher than 25 %) and precariousness of the existing employment, with a great rise of the hidden economy.
